Name: Ricky Hayes
Position: Head Coach
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Sports Studies, level 3 swimming coach, level 2 swimming teacher, level 1 swimming teacher for people with a disability, toddler and babies swimming teacher, Level 2 fitness instructor.
Experience: Ricky was previously Head Coach of the club from 2004-2007 during which he became the youngest head coach the club has ever had. He taught swimming and later managed the swimming lessons at the former Sedgemoor Splash in Bridgwater, as well as running his own swim school. He was Swim Co-ordinator for Brean Splash where he created and formed their learn to swim programme. Ricky was the assistant coach to Street Swimming Club & Somerset Cheetas; a performance squad for swimmers from Street and Chard swimming club. More recently he set up the learn to swim programme at Bridgwater’s newest swimming pool Trinity Sports and Leisure and now hold’s the role as lead swim coordinator for 1610 Somerset and North Devon’s largest leisure provider.

Name: Ange Robertson
Position: Deputy Head Coach
Qualifications: Level 2 Swimming Teacher
Experience: Ange first started coaching swimming with Bridgwater Swimming Club many years ago helping as key member of the coaching team while her daughter swam for the club. Ange eventually moved on to coach at Street Swimming Club where she was the lead coach for the junior swimming programme, a role she had great success in. In addition to this she has also taught swimming at the Burnham Swim and Sports Academy and more recently at Trinity Sports and Leisure in Bridgwater, where she helped to create the successful swimming lessons programme.
