Welcome to Bridgwater Amateur Swimming Club

The government has given the go ahead for pools to re-open from 25th July 2020. This is brilliant news for BASC, we will confirm the date our home pools at 1610 Trinity and Quantock Lodge will resume once known. We are preparing for the ‘Return to the Pool’, BASC members please keep an eye on Facebook and email for updates as we move through the process for a safe return. We can’t wait!

Here at BASC we are keeping in touch, staying positive and still smiling during the current lockdown situation affecting everyone. Some of our swimmers have been featured in a fun video below, created by some of our committee members. Please enjoy watching some of the great team spirit that exists at our lovely club.

We are a competitive but friendly swimming club. Run by a voluntary committee (click here to see our committee), we are a not-for-profit club and have been providing aquatic sports to the community since 1894, 2019 being our 125th anniversary. We swim at Trinity Sports and Leisure on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and at Quantock Lodge on Tuesday and Wednesday, sessions are led by our professional head and deputy head coaches. Members of the committee are available on Fridays from 6.00-8.00pm at Trinity Sports and Leisure if you would like to pop along for a chat about the club and find out what we offer! New members are always very welcome.
